He's Moira's eldest child Hannah, who is as a man. transgender actor who has previously had roles in Boy Meets Girl and Mum.'I'm excited to join the very welcoming Emmerdale family,' he says. 'Matty is a groundbreaking character to play and I can't wait to see what's ahead for him.' The character was previously played by Grace Cassidy for three years until 2012. She was bullied at school, and after her father John Barton's death in February 2012 left the countryside to live in London with sister Holly.
