v vTate'sp lan toe xpand [...]; IN BRIEF.

v vTate'sp lan toe xpand JAMES TATE has applied for permission to add a further 16 boxes to his Jamesfield Place Stables on the Hamilton Road in Newmarket.

A fully qualified vet, Tate has trained exclusively for the Rabbah Bloodstock operation since last winter when he was sent 50 horses, most of whom were two-year-olds, but he now needs room for more.

Tate has submitted plans to Forest Heath District Council for a new range of boxes as well as a horsewalker.

Tate said: "We are just getting planning permission in case we have to expand in the future. We could build five or more [boxes] but if we get the planning then it's there if we need it."
