tried & tested.
After making a splash as a beauty newcomer, micellar water looks set to stay. Our testers put three formulas to the test...
Sothys Micellar Cleansing Water, PS23, available in Sothys salons and spas nationwide (sothys-uk.co.uk) GENTLE enough to be used on both the eye area and skin, this fragrance-free cleansing water is a great multitasker. Perfect for sensitive skins, it removes make-up, dirt and debris without ever stripping skin and leaving it feeling parched. It does take a few attempts with a cotton pad to clean skin thoroughly, though.
Bioderma Sensibio H2O Micelle Solution, PS10.50 (Escentual.com) I'M RAT A HER susceptible to waking up with panda eyes, but since being introduced to this product, those black smudges have ceased. The silky water-like liquid cleans off my clunky old mascara and kohl eyeliner in no time, leaving my rather sensitive skin feeling clean and calm, with absolutely no redness or irritation.
Le Couvent de Minimes 3-in-1 Micellar Water, PS16 (lecouventdesminimes.co.uk) FRESH, fragrant and gentle, not only does this come in a pretty bottle, it's as clear and light as water. A little goes a long way and leaves skin soft and smelling sweetly of cornflowers, without being sickly. Ideal after a grimy cycle ride home from work.
