Chris Pratt as Peter Quill LADY MACBETH (15) ..... GRIPPING adaptation of Nikolai Leskov's 19th-century Russian novella Lady Macbeth Of The Mtsensk, which resets the skulduggery to Victorian England. Teen bride Katherine (Florence Pugh) is sold by her father as part of a property deal and is consigned to a loveless marriage to a swarthy brute, whose father runs the local colliery. When father and son are called away, Katherine seeks excitement with groomsman Sebastian (Cosmo Jarvis), and forges a pact that will allow them to retain their lofty position in the household. | Available to stream and on DVD/Blu-ray from August 21.

Florence Pugh as Katherine Bailey with Ethan (played by Dennis Quaid) A DOG'S PURPOSE (12) ... .. GOLDEN retriever Bailey (voiced by Josh Gad) has a brief first life in the 1950s - but is put to sleep at the local dog pound. In his second incarnation in 1961, he is rescued from a hot truck by eight-year old Ethan (Bryce Gheisar) but a near fatal incident changes the course of Ethan's life and he is forced to say farewell to Bailey. After several more incarnations, Bailey - now a Saint Bernard - is reunited with Ethan (now played by Dennis Quaid) but the master is a worldweary shadow of his former self. A Dog's Purpose barks a familiar tune, with a couple of daring rescues that would have made Lassie wag her tail with pride.
