SO MANY enjoyed the glorious weekend weather, especially welcome after our wet summer.

But with grey skies re-appearing, and the temperature dropping, do we need to lose our joy? Is our happiness really dependent on external factors, such as the weather? The Bible character, Nehemiah, had to encourage the Jews to rebuild the devastated city of Jerusalem, a task they felt was beyond their capabilities. He told them: "The joy of the Lord is our strength."

When we see the source of our joy is divine, not only is it unfluctuating, but it gives us inspiration and strength to tackle today's task.

"Happiness is spiritual, born of Truth and Love" wrote the founder of Christian Science, Mary Baker Eddy. So, whatever is happening around us, we've a right to happiness.
