FRANKIE Goes To T Hollywood were at the top with Two Tribes, the biggest song of 1984.

New entries included Tina Turner T with What's Love Got To Do With T It, Neil - from TV comedy show The Young Ones - with Hole In My Shoe, and The Bluebells with Young At A Heart. The Thompson Twins with SisT -ter Of Mercy was also moving up.

WITH Bob Marley and The Wailers residing in the top spot in the album chart for most of the summer, what else were we listening to 30 years ago? Human's Lib by Howard Jones was another big seller. It entered the UK chart at No. 1. The synthpop album contained hits like New Song, What Is Love and Pearl In The Shell.

BACHELOR Party, starring Tom T Hanks, was new at the flicks.
