theLIST: Live gigs put us back on the map; MUSIC.

LIVE music is returning to a famous North Wales venue thanks to a company which wants to put the region back on the map for gigs.

Flintshire-based Intro:2 is launching a monthly night of music at the Tivoli on Brunswick Road, in Buckley, once one of the most renowned venues in the UK.

The new night will launch on Easter Sunday, headlined by up-and-coming band The Heights.

Intro:2's Philippa Kitchen said: "We are using this as a plateau to promote the local musical talent North Wales has to offer, in a venue that was once known all over the UK as one of the venues to play.

"We want to put North Wales back on the tour map of Britain's bands and would like as much help from the local press as possible to do that. This is a great opportunity for the North Wales music scene."

Also on the bill for the opening night will be Decadenze, Wolfgang Diesel, Der Bomber and Pulse.

Doors open from 8.30pm until 2am, with bands on stage between 9pm and midnight and a DJ to follow. Tickets are pounds 5, or pounds 4.50 for students.
