the essentials: MIRROR, mirror, on the wall.

MIRROR, mirror, on the wall, who's the biggest diva of them all? We think in this panto season few would argue with Mariah Carey, left, for that title, but now the singing star has landed another top honour. Her 1994 single, All I Want for Christmas, has been crowned the nation's favourite Christmas song in a poll by Magic radio station.

Mariah beat off competition from The Pogues' Fairytale of New York, Wham's Last Christmas, Band Aid and even good old Cliff to take the number one spot. Strangely, other songs to make the top 50 included the Crazy Frog's Last Christmas Crazy Frog and even former Big Brother winner Craig's Christmas song, At This Time of Year. No, we don't remember that either.
