the RAZZ: Rave about music.

Byline: BEVERLEY LYONS & SHOWBIZ LIZ

GET the lightsticks out because rave is on the way back and bands like prog rockers Muse are delighted.

The New Rave scene is rockier and more grungey, with tracks boasting more than 240 beats per minute.

Bands like The CSS, The Sunshine Underground and New Young Pony Club are heavily involved and they are due to head around the country next year on the Shock Waves NME Awards Indie Rave Tour.

Muse frontman Matt Bellamy is a big fan and said: "New rave will save me.

"I like the idea of going to a gig and getting a few glowsticks out.

"The Klaxons are brilliant - I like the shift they have in their music."
