Samsung Electronics Company Ltd., a global leader in Digital media and telecommunication technology had recently launched the Samsung Galaxy Y smart-phone (model S5360). To promote this innovative sleek, compact and affordable smart-phone for the youth, Samsung has launched an Online facebook campaign called "smart-Bid". The participants will get great opportunities to win a brand new Samsung Galaxy smart-phone for as low as Rs. 1000 only.

Within days of launching this campaign on the Samsung Facebook page, the fan base has increased to more than 184,000, making it the most popular Consumer-Electronics page in the Pakistani social-media community. Samsung Galaxy Y is the youngest member of the Samsung Galaxy series and the most affordable smart-phone, available in the market yet.

Samsung Pakistan's Managing Director, Mr. Hee Chang Yee said; "The Samsung Smart-Bid has been instrumental in creating a positive buzz for the Samsung Galaxy 'Y', which was precisely what we aimed for. This gives us a great platform to launch more attractive campaigns for the revolutionary Samsung products in future."

The most important part of any creative campaign on social media is the active engagement of the fans and Smart-Bid has achieved enormous response from the fans. Samsung Smart Bid was initiated in conjunction with the launch of the much awaited Samsung Galaxy Y smart-phone earlier this month.
