showbiz: Truth is still out there.

Byline: By Roz Laws, Bob Haywood and Lee Gibson

THE truth is still out there.

David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson have signed a megabucks deal to re-open the X-Files.

They'll reprise their roles of Fox Mulder and Dana Scully in a big-screen movie sequel.

By the time it's out next autumn, it'll be 10 years since the X-Files movie that tied up all the loose ends.

So presumably, there'll be a new mystery to solve.

The riddle of Mulder's parents, the black ooze and the cigarette-smoking man have all been sorted out.

And we all know who made those crop circles, don't we?

Series creator Chris Carter has written the script, which is being kept under lock and key.

"They start shooting in Vancouver next month," says a studio aide.

"And they have some ideas that'll blow Heroes and Lost out of the water.

"Will they get it on together? Let's say the sexual chemistry is still there."
