roly poly coaster; 20st student Emma was too big to fit on the Colossus ride at theme park.

A 20st thrill-seeker was shamed into slimming after finding she was too fat for a roller coaster called Colossus.

Emma Cooper, 24, had to get off the ride when she realised the safety harness would not fit over her bulging stomach.

The 5ft 1in student said: "It was the most embarrassing moment of my life. I had to walk off in front of everyone."

She was determined to slim down and signed up for Diet Chef, which provides calorie-controlled meals and snacks.

After losing an impressive 8st, she finally managed to take on the Colossus at Thorpe Park in Surrey. Emma, from Ashford, Kent, said: "It's great to think that now I'm slim enough to go on any roller coaster I want."
