pounds 7k win for pregnancy sacking.

A HAIR salon boss has won pounds 5800 compensation for being sacked when she was pregnant.

Pamela Reilly got a further pounds 120 for time she took off for ante-natal care and pounds 880 in holiday pay from the Scissor Edge salon in Hilton, Inverness.

She told a tribunal that owner Anthea Waite had unfairly criticised her work after she pointed out her rights.

This led to Miss Reilly being signed off sick with pregnancy-related complications. She won her claim of unfair dismissal. Her baby was born on July 2.
