BRITAIN'S health service faces a pounds 522,000 bill for sextuplets born 10 days after their Libyan mother came to Britain.

One died when they arrived three months early by Caesarean section.

The two boys and three girls will be in hospital for 12 weeks, at pounds 5,800 a day.

The mum, who had IVF, and her husband moved to Newcastle upon Tyne, where he is a student.

The city's NHS Trust said: "We are addressing recovery of costs."
