NISSAN'S luxury brand - much sought-after Stateside - has unveiled a new 2008 Infiniti G37 Coupe, which arrives at Infiniti retailers across the US in August. It will come to the UK in summer next year. The second-generation G37 Coupe gets a new 3.7-litre V6 engine to replace the previous 3.5-litre unit, and it generates 330bhp. VOLKSWAGEN has set up an internet microsite for its Tiguan compact 4x4, which is set to arrive in Britain in 2008. The off-roader makes its public world debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show this September, but anyone interested can go online to to register for entry to the Tiguan page link. The diesel-powered Tiguan, at 4.4 metres long, and 1.85 metres wide, will be similar in size to the VW Touran compact people carrier.

THE new Dodge Nitro off-roader and Dodge Avenger saloon arrive in the UK by late summer. The front-wheel drive Avenger, here by September, shares its side profile with that iconic US muscle car, the Dodge Charger, and prices will start from pounds 14,995 for the 2.0-litre petrol Avenger SE, and pounds 15,995 for the SE 2.0-litre diesel. The Dodge Nitro 4x4 comes with either a 3.7 litre petrol or 2.8-litre diesel engine, and it arrives in July. Model prices will run from pounds 18,990 to pounds 23,490.

VAUXHALL is selling a Tigra Exclusiv Red edition of its popular drop-top roadster, priced from pounds 15,515. It gets extras worth up to pounds 1,350, a striking red leather interior, and unique alloy wheels. This special Tigra is available with either a 1.4-litre or 1.8-litre petrol engine.

LOTS happening to Toyota cars at the moment: the Japanese firm now offers Vehicle Stability Control with Traction Control as an option across the complete Yaris range, and has introduced some feature changes for the Avensis models. For the entry-level Aygo city runabout, Toyota is promoting upgrade packs.

YOU can now buy a diesel-powered 1.9-litre Suzuki Grand Vitara in a three-door bodystyle, priced at pounds 14,999. Previously, diesel Grand Vitaras only came with five doors. The new three-door 1.9 DDiS gets manual transmission, and can achieve 38.2mpg
