pet sos: Lost pet is losing weight with worry.

Byline: Ann Evans

A TORTOISESHELL cat knew just where to go for help after getting lost - it walked into the accident and emergency department at Coventry and Warwickshire Hospital, where staff got in touch with the Cats Protection League.

Unfortunately, Jackie Cashmore of the CPL, has been unable to find the owner, even though the cat (below) has clearly been a very well cared for and is pining for its old home.

Jackie said: "This is a very much-loved pet, but it is very depressed. It's barely eating and is losing weight. The poor thing has cried so much it has lost its voice. We are desperate to reunite it with its owner."

The tortoiseshell and white cat was wearing a blue sparkling collar when it was found.

Jackie believes it may have been missing from its home for at least three weeks.

If you recognise the cat, please phone the Cats Protection League on 024 7647 0263.
