GIVEN that between 1968 and 2004, 5.1 million abortions were performed in England and Wales. Something must be done to reduce that number, it has been recently reported in the press that younger women in particular tend to treat abortion just like another form of contraception and that a minority have had 3,4,5 abortions, surely this is unacceptable?

RAPE victims aside (who must be a very small percentage of that number) and medical reasons, using abortion as contraception cannot be ethical.

Nor can it be coincidence that the rise in the abortion rate goes hand-in-hand with the rise in STD's, which also goes hand-in-hand with the rise in binge drinking
