nVIEW TARGETS U.S. EDUCATIONAL MARKET FOR SALE OF ADVANCED PROJECTION PRODUCTS

NEWPORT NEWS, Va., July 8 /PRNewswire/ -- As part of its continued effort to make available the latest advancement in instructional products to American schools, nVIEW Corporation (NASDAQ-NMS: NVUE) recently announced a new education pricing plan which offers three of its innovative projection products to public and private schools (grades K-12) and to primary vocational-technical schools at substantially reduced prices.
On July 1, nVIEW began offering special pricing on three of its projection products: the ViewFrame II+2 monochrome panel, the ViewFrame SpectraMini full-color panel and the nSight monochrome data projector. In making this offer direct to school systems at prices 20 percent to 30 percent below average list prices for comparable models, nVIEW has signaled its interest in becoming the leading supplier of advanced, electronic image projection products to the nation's education market.
In recent years, the use of personal computers as educational tools has grown dramatically. During this same period, the availability of products which allow teachers to project computer images for viewing by the entire classroom has also increased. Until now, prices of these technologically advanced projection devices have prevented many teachers from experiencing the positive, educational impact that real-time interaction with projected, computer-generated images can have on their students.
nVIEW's line of projection products, which project images using liquid crystal display technology, has garnered an unmatched list of awards for product quality and performance. For example, in the educational market, Curriculum Product News (CPN), the magazine for district-level administrators, recently awarded nVIEW Corporation the Districts' Choice Award in the June 1993 issue of Top 100 Products of the Year.
nVIEW's projection products are distributed through a worldwide network of authorized dealers and distributors. For more information on the education pricing program or about nVIEW's line of projection products, contact nVIEW Corporation at 800-736-8439 or 804-873-1354.
