A CAR dealership and rental firm came to the rescue of air cadets hoping to put on a display at an agricultural show. The cadets were left with a problem when the vehicle they normally use for towing a Harrier aircraft fuselage - the centrepiece of their display - was unavailable.
But Machargs were delighted to help the Glasgow and West of Scotland Wing Air Training Cadets attend the Drymen Agricultural Show near Loch Lomond.
They supplied a Toyota Hi-Lux to tow the fuselage to and from the event.
Mark Trainer, Machargs general manager, said: "When I was first approached by the air cadets, I was extremely happy to help.
"The agricultural show held in Drymen is a great day out for all the family, and the air cadets always generate a great deal of public interest and awareness."
Machargs have the largest indoor showroom in Europe on South Street in Glasgow.
It is not only home to new, nearly new and used cars, but also car and van rental, a caf and a servicing and repairs department.
