GORDON STRACHAN is undoubtedly entitled to the money he is owed by City. He did not resign, the club sacked him. He had a contract that clearly stated what he was entitled to.

The club terminated his contract and hence have to pay up what he is owed.

Paul Milsom, Coventry.

SO STRACHAN wants a loyalty bonus! What about the loyalty shown to him while he took the club on a steady decline towards the First Division?

Any other team would have bombed him out long ago.

Joe Breidenback, Cardiff.

I DON'T believe Strachan is justified in claiming these bonuses.

What were the bonuses benchmarked against? The club getting relegated? Not making any progress in Division One? If so, then I'm definitely in the wrong job.

Morally, I think it's disgusting but, unfortunately, legally I don't think we have a leg to stand on.

Ross McOwat, Tamworth

pounds 300,000 is nothing to a manager these days. If Strachan were a manager in the lower leagues, I would agree that he should try to get his money but he does not need the money.

Sean Lewis, Coventry

I WAS just wondering when you lads will learn that managers like Stracham are just working for clubs? They are not supporters or anything like that. It's just a job !
