LEXINGTON, Ky.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 13, 2000

Continuing to strengthen its position in the high school marketplace, iHigh (www.ihigh.com), the largest high school Internet network and official partner of the National Federation of State High School Associations (NFHS), today announced an expanded group of business partnerships with several nationally recognized companies. By signing onto iHigh's grassroots promotion - Road Tour 2000 - sponsors are provided the opportunity to connect with an audience of high schoolers across the country.

"We are proud to have such quality sponsors who believe in the concept of iHigh.com and Road Tour 2000 as we roll across the country," said iHigh CEO Rick Ford. "This validates our unique approach to students who, through the iHigh network and its grassroots connection, now have a community to share their voice with their school as well as other teens across the nation."

Through this alliance, sponsors of iHigh's Road Tour 2000 become part of an eleven-week journey across the country led by four hand selected tour guides. The guides meet with iHigh's audience of high schoolers to hear about what teens are looking for online as well as the issues and concerns affecting their lives offline. The iHigh Magazine and Road Tour Partner giveaways are distributed to students and fans attending events at the 240 high schools visited on the tour.

Joining initial sponsors Valvoline, General Motors and Fox Sports.com, new promotional partners include The Princeton Review, providing on-line SAT and ACT prep-courses; Earthlink, the second largest ISP in the United States; Dunk.net, an online merchandiser of sporting goods and apparel; and Fossil, providing watches for the students that register to win prizes on the official iHigh Road Tour page, located at www.roadtour.ihigh.com.

In addition, General Motors, the Official Vehicle Sponsor of the iHigh Road Tour 2000, donated two vehicles including one new Pontiac Aztek. "High schoolers see the Pontiac Aztec rolling into their parking lots and they go crazy for it! The cutting-edge design is very appealing to today's teens; Pontiac has clearly hit the bulls-eye of this adventure-loving demographic!" says Bob Williams, Vice President of Sales for iHigh.

"We created this Road Tour to meet teenagers across the United States," said Tim Campbell, COO of iHigh. "We also introduce them to quality sponsors which are a perfect fit for the iHigh network, and an even more perfect fit for the iHigh Road Tour 2000."

The official online network for the National Federation of State High School Associations (NFHS), iHigh provides high schools with the opportunity to create and maintain their own free Web sites within the iHigh network, and offers students a community for information on a local, state, and national level. The NFHS is the national service organization for high school athletics and fine arts programs in speech, debate and music, and includes a membership of 51 state high school athletic/activity associations, plus the District of Columbia.
