hhgregg Celebrates Earth Day with Free Electronics Recycling Event in Stores.

Customers Welcome to Drop Off Used Computers, TVs, Cameras and More

INDIANAPOLIS -- In honor of Earth Day,Indianapolis-based appliance and electronics leader hhgregg (NYSE:HGG) today announced that it will host an electronics recycling event in stores from Thursday, April 19th to Saturday, April 21st. During the event, the public is welcome to dispose of used electronics, including cameras, camcorders, computers, TVs and more for free at hhgregg locations (with the exception of the Chicagoland area stores).

"We are looking forward to providing our communities with a convenient, environmentally-friendly way of disposing their old or broken electronics at our stores," said Dennis May, President and CEO, hhgregg. "Recycling electronic equipment keeps waste out of landfills and prevents toxic materials like lead and mercury from potentially leaking into the ground and polluting the environment, so we are proud to honor Earth Day with this event."

As customers drop off their outdated and used electronics to be recycled, they can replace them on the spot and take advantage of hhgregg's Earth Day specials. Offerings include 10% - 20% off major appliances, plus an additional 5% off major appliance purchases over $499 when using an hhgregg credit card. Significant mark-downs on hhgregg's wide selection of televisions, appliances, computers, and cameras will also be featured. Customers will be able to take advantage of special financing options on items throughout the store.

51" Samsung Plasma HDTV - Originally $649.99, now $599.99

Nikon 14.2 MP D-SLR Camera w/ 18-55mm Lens, 3" LCD - Originally $974.99, now $749.99
