greenpeace exec's carbon omission.
A GREENPEACE executive regularly flies 250 miles to work despite the eco group's warnings that air travel is destroying the planet, it emerged last night.
Pascal Husting, the organisation's International Programme Director, commutes by air between Luxembourg and Amsterdam, making the round trip twice a month.
Greenpeace has funded the PS200 return trip since 2012 despite saying plane travel is causing dangerous climate change. According to airline KLM, such a journey would generate a total of 142kg in carbon emissions.
Mr Husting, 52, said: "I spend half my life on conference calls. But as a senior manager, the people I work with sometimes need to meet me in the flesh. That's why I've been going to Amsterdam twice a month."
He added that he plans to make the trip just once a month from September and will travel by train.
