TODAY, the 65th Annual Reunion of those who served in the Worcestershire Regiment will be held at the Worcester Rugby Club, Sixways Stadium, from noon until 6pm. First organised by Cliff Carr and myself, it will draw an attendance of over 400 who served in the Regiment including those of the Sherwood Foresters Regiment, the Regiment and Association which amalgamated in 1970 with the Worcesters.

AN interesting exhibition is on display today and tomorrow at the Herbert Museum with a Tableau prepared by Maureen Calcott, secretary of No.1 Branch, Royal British Legion and Paul Thompson, with the theme of D-Day and the Normandy landings.

On display are a World War II jeep and uniforms of those of us veterans who served at that time.

Monday will bring the 67th Anniversary of D-Day.

TOMORROW is the monthly meeting date for members of No.1 Branch, Royal British Legion at the Royal Warwicks Club at 11am.

If you served in any branch of HM Forces you are eligible to join and detail of membership of our branch can be obtained from secretary, Maureen Calcott, by a call on 02476 442460.

MONDAY brings the meeting of the Veterans of Suez at the Hinckley Ex-Servicemen's Club, Leicestershire and Warwickshire branch, at 12noon. Membership detail from Geoff Wells on 02476 720661 and John Deeming on 02476 362022.

ON Tuesday the Bedworth Branch, Royal British Legion hold a members meeting at the Bedworth Ex-Servicemen's Club, Rye Piece at 7.30pm. Membership detail can be obtained from chairman, Graham Bell on 02476 327491. Bulkington Branch, Royal British Legion members assemble at the War Memorial Club at 8pm. Arthur Wilson, chairman, can provide membership details for ex-service personnel in the residential area by a call on 02476 315193.

THE monthly meeting of my Worcestershire and Sherwood Foresters Regimental Association branch will be at the Nursery Tavern, Lord Street, Coventry at noon on Tuesday next for this month, not the usual Monday. New members welcome and a call to me (on the above number) will provide membership detail.

WEDNESDAY next brings meetings for three of our Ex-Service Association branches. The Airborne Association, Coventry branch, meet at the TA Centre, Radford Road at 11am and the REME Association, Coventry, branch also meet at the TA Centre at 2pm. Membership detail of both branches from Geoff Wells on 02476 720661. Coventry branch of the Royal Air Force Association meet at the Douglas Badar House, Lythalls Lane, at 8pm. Membership detail and a welcome to the branch for former RAF personnel from Bill Taylor. A call on 02476 765704 for all detail from Bill.

THE Western Front Association, Heart of England branch meet at the Royal Warwicks Club on Wednesday next at 7pm. New members welcome and a call to Gordon Caulfield on 02476 683425 will provide membership detail. Members of the RANC Medical services, Coventry branch meet on Friday next at the Royal Warwicks Club at 11am. If you served in the RANC, RADC, RAVC or QARANC your membership will be welcome. A call to secretary, Brian Wilson, on 02476 273646 will give full detail of the branch and a membership badge.

FRIDAY next week brings the annual presentations of veterans' badges by our Lord Mayor, councillor Keiran Mulhall in St Mary's Hall. City of Coventry Ex-service Association.

Standard Bearers to report to our Standard Marshall at10am.

MONDAY next brings the 67th anniversary of the World War II Normandy Landings by our servicemen which had support from the Royal Navy and Royal Air Force. For those of us veterans who were involved on D-Day and later invasion days with the loss of many serving colleagues, it is a memory never forgotten.
