|The next social meeting of the Cardiff County Unison Retired Members Branch will be held at the City United Reform Church, Windsor Place, Cardiff, on Wednesday, May 9, 10.15am-noon. This meeting will include a talk from a representative of the Older Peoples Commissioner for Wales. New and current members are welcome.

|On Wednesday, May 9, the Conway 50+ group welcomes broadcaster and journalist Trevor Fishlock to talk about his latest book entitled Reporter. Trevor has adventured around the world as a war and foreign correspondent. For his television programmes in Wales he won a Bafta award. The group meets in the Conway Church Hall, entrance on Romilly Crescent, Cardiff CF11 9NT - Bus route 61. Entrance is PS2 which includes tea, coffee, etc. The hall is open from 10.15am and the session starts at 10.45am. All welcome.

|City Voices Cardiff "In Concert" takes place on Thursday, May 10, at 7.30pm at Cyncoed Methodist Church, Westminster Crescent, CF23 6SE. It is in aid of the soup run and supporting the homeless in Cardiff, Tickets PS5, children PS3, at the door. Celebrating City Voices' 10th anniversary and 25 years of the Wednesday soup run.

|A coffee morning with stalls is to be held in aid of the Huggard Centre for the Homeless. This will take place at All Saints Church on Cyncoed Road, Cardiff, at 10.30am on Saturday, May 12. There will be stalls including cakes, books, feel good and a raffle. Entry is PS3 to include coffee and biscuits.

|A car boot sale is taking place on Saturday, May 12, at Coed Glas Primary School, Ty-Glas Avenue, Llanishen, 9am-noon. Cars PS3, vans PS5.

|Conway Road Methodist Church, Canton, is holding its annual spring fair on Saturday, May 12, from 11am until 1pm. Stalls will include cakes, plants, books and CDs, collectables and bric-a-brac, nearly new clothes, fancy goods and a raffle.

Refreshments will be available. Entrance for adults is PS1 (children free). All proceeds for church funds.
