eBusiness Technologies Announces Support of New DOM Standard.

DOM2 Support Reinforces eBusiness Technologies' Leadership in Standards-Based

Content Management

PROVIDENCE, R.I., Nov. 13 /PRNewswire/ --

eBusiness Technologies (Nasdaq: EBTI), a leading provider of solutions and services for e-business applications, today announced that its engenda(TM) and entrepid(TM) content management and workflow solutions will support Document Object Model Level 2 (DOM2), a new specification issued today as a World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) Recommendation. DOM2 is a new version of the prior standard, DOM Level 1, which key employees at eBusiness Technologies helped develop.

DOM2 is a platform- and language-neutral interface that allows programmers to dynamically access and update the content, structure and style of HTML and XML documents. DOM2 facilitates the storage and manipulation of XML content stored in eBusiness Technologies' products by enabling users to manipulate XML-based templates, as well as giving access to the structural representation of XML documents. eBusiness Technologies also leverages DOM2 in its forms- based authoring feature, both to apply stylesheets to XML content and to apply the edits from the form back to the content.

eBusiness Technologies' support of DOM2 holds numerous benefits for customers, including easier implementation, increased performance, and improved interoperability with other software that supports DOM2, such as document parsers and stylesheet processors.

eBusiness Technologies has several experts on the DOM technology, including Gavin Nicol, the Company's Chief Scientist and representative to the W3C, who was an editor of the DOM1, and Keith Boone, the Company's Architect, who participates in the W3C DOM Interest Group.
