dressed to impress.

LAST week she treated us to that fantastic frou frou/so frilled to meet you/Giambatista Valli number which was arguably the best dress at the Grammy Awards.

Now here we have Rihanna at New York Fashion Week looking the picture of primness in this perfect satin plum midi dress custom made for her by American designer Zac Posen, whose show she was attending.

Posen famously made the bridesmaid dresses for the first Sex and the City film and he knows a thing or two about a well-fitted dress which is exactly what this is.

Apart from the hint of decolletage, there is no flesh flashing from the Unapolagetic singer.

In fact the only hint to Ri Ri's usual edgy street-style is her tattoos across her chest and arms.

After all the wild cuts and colours, we also love that Rihanna is wearing her hair in a more natural style of late and the make-up is subtle yet sexy.

With a new album, R8 (it's her eighth - see what she did there?) due to drop any time soon could we be witnessing a case of bad girl gone good from our favourite Bajan beauty?
