cricket; IN BRIEF.

Graeme Swann is 6-4 with Ladbrokes to play in the Indian Premier League after announcing his retirement from international cricket at the weekend.

Swann claimed the physical demands of Test cricket were taking their toll, saying: "My body doesn't like playing long forms of cricket."

However, that would leave the chance to bring down the curtain on his career in the IPL, while Hills go 8-11 that he joins the Sky commentary team.

England are 7-2 to win the fourth Ashes Test in Melbourne, which begins late on Christmas day UK time, while Australia are 7-4 for a 5-0 series whitewash.
