beauty jury; EACH week, real puts the latest beauty products to the test using our very own jury made up of real women. This week, we asked the girls from Jungle Rumble in Liverpool to pucker up and try the latest lip balms.

TESTER: Rebecca Morrison, 22, floor staff member from Mossley Hill. PRODUCT: Boots Go Balmy! Berry Lip Balm, pounds 2.99. VERDICT: This balm is more like a lip gloss. It''s got a thick texture which I believed would stay on all night however I found myself reapplying it every 10 minutes or so. It has a strong berry fragrance/taste which is probably better suited to a younger person. I really don't feel it moisturised my lips so I could not recommend this as a must buy. But it doesn't cost a lot so you haven't lost too much if you don't like it.

RATING: 4 out of 10 TESTER: Chloe Martin, 21, a waitress from Crosby. PRODUCT: Clinique Chubby Stick Moisturizing Lip Colour Balm, pounds 14.

VERDICT: Great vibrant colour that stood out giving a lip gloss look but without the stickiness, as it came in a thick, chunky pencil type applicator. It acted as a great lip balm moisturising your lips although it would be nice if the colour lasted a little longer. I would have liked the colour to have been more prominent but that's probably the role of a gloss and, for me, it was a little on the expensive side. But I know others absolutely adore this. RATING: 7 out of 10 TESTER: Erin Rosenberg, 20, receptionist, from Wavertree. PRODUCT: The Body Shop Delipscious Tinted Lip Balm, pounds 8. VERDICT: I really loved this as it's good value for money. The lip balm has a soft tinted colour that matched my lips well and was not overly obvious. It was very moisturising, had good consistency and provided good coverage. The only let down was that application doesn''t last very long. Overall a good every day lip balm.

RATING: 9 out of 10 TESTER: Danielle Desloges, 21, a member of the bar staff, is from Wavertree. PRODUCT: Benetint: Benefit Rose Tint Lip Balm, pounds 14.

VERDICT: The colour of the product was very versatile and could be used for day use and for a subtle colour if you wanted to use it on a night out as well. The lip balm itself does look very glossy and shiny in the actual pot. When you apply it your lips it feels smooth and soft and it instantly soothes dry lips. However, the pot is only small, which means it is hard to use when in a hurry.

RATING: 8 out of 10 TESTER: Kimberley Warren, 23, is the assistant manager. She is from Aigburth. PRODUCT: Models Own Lip Balm (Fuchsia), pounds 6. VERDICT: This definitely wasn't my favourite product of all time. The texture was a little too sticky for my liking and yet, in spite of this, it didn't stay long on my lips. It did come in an attractive little pot but I won't be buying it again.

RATING: 3 out of 10
