beIN Sports and Al Jazeera blocked on eLife and du.

Much to the disappointment of sports fans who were recently roped into special packages with E-life and du, Qatar-owned sports network beIN was taken off air after the United Arab Emirates severed diplomatic relations with the country along with Saudi Arabia, Egyptand Bahrain. The sanctions apply to Al Jazeera Network's channels as well, which are no longer available in the UAE.

While the channels cannot be viewed through eLife and du, we are given to understand that those with a direct subscription to the network have not been impacted.

Although the diplomatic sanctions have severely impacted Qatari nationals working in these countries and all travel has come to a standstill, Qatar has expressed its desire for dialogue to ease the rift.
