axiom offers credit card on delivery payment option.

axiom has partnered with Mashreq, to provide a mobile point-of-service (POS) solution.

Customers in Dubai and Sharjah can now select the card on delivery option via axiom's website, and a representative will call confirming the order, location and time of delivery. axiom expects the payment option to prove popular in conjunction with axiom's unique two-hour online delivery service in the UAE.

Once the product is delivered, customers insert their Master Card or Visa credit cards into a Mashreq Payport device, and enter their pin or sign on the axiom courier's smartphone. The customer then receives a receipt via email.

There are no extra charges, minimum purchase thresholds or requirements to enter sensitive information online. Additional customer benefits include zero per cent easy-instalment plans from leading banks.

"axiom has a long history of innovating new approaches to customer service, so we are delighted to become the first mobile retailer in the region to offer this much in-demand payment system," said Faisal Al Bannai, CEO, axiom.

axiom is planning to expand the payment in deliver system across the UAE in the coming months.

Nimish Dwivedi, Head of Payments, Mashreq said: "At Mashreq, innovation constitutes a big focus in our operations. We are proud of our association with axiom for this unique payment solution, which further underlines our leading position in this domain. Payport is designed to add value to businesses and ensure customer convenience is achieved."
