Byline: JONATHAN McEVOY STEVE McMANAMAN last night claimed Robbie Fowler has more chance of winning the Premiership at Leeds than with Liverpool. McManaman believes his former Anfield team-mate made the right decision in moving to Elland Road in a pounds 11million deal last month - despite the Reds' three-point lead at the top of the Premiership. The Real Madrid star said: "In my opinion Robbie is with a better team now. "I talk to him all the time and he's happier at Leeds than he was at Liverpool. I know that. "In my opinion he is also with a better team now. I was not impressed with what I saw of Liverpool in the Champions League match against Roma. "Both sides were terrible." Fowler admits the fear of missing out on the World Cup influenced his decision to move to Leeds. Real won their sixth successive game with a 2-0 victory at Tenerife on Saturday night to go top of La Liga while McManaman is currently sidelined for three weeks with a back injury. |
