Zurich promote from within.

Zurich announces the appointment of Brendan McDonald as Head of Professional Indemnity for the Middle East

Brendan, who previously served as an underwriter in Zurich's Commercial Insurance team, will be responsible for profitably growing the insurer's Professional Indemnity business in the region.

Hayden Seach, Head of Global Corporate & Mid-Market for Zurich in the Middle East, said: "Zurich is committed to growing our share of the commercial insurance market in the Middle East, as well as nurturing and recognising talent. With Brendan's promotion, I'm delighted that we've been able to deliver against both these areas."

Brendan commented: "I'm delighted to have been given this opportunity to lead a key part of Zurich's business in the Middle East. With clear signs of renewed growth in many key sectors of the region's economy, not least the impact of the FIFA World Cup in Qatar on the construction industry, it is a truly exciting time to be taking on this role."

Brendan joined Zurich's London office in 2007 as a Professional & Financial Lines underwriter before moving to the Middle East in 2010 to develop the insurer's Professional Indemnity proposition. He holds a BSc in Accounting and Finance from the University of Birmingham in the UK.
