24 July 2019 - Massachusetts, US-based medical device manufacturer Zoll Medical Corp. has acquired substantially all assets of New York, US-based rescue app marketer Mobilize RRS LLC, the company said.

Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Zoll said it provides high-quality AEDs to help people save the life of someone suffering from sudden cardiac arrest. Mobilize Rescue Systems are a natural extension for Zoll, in that they give people the ability to help victims of nearly every type of emergency.

Mobilize RRS LLC. markets the Mobilize Rescue Systems app and associated rescue kits, which are designed to help bystanders deliver acute critical care in emergency situations.

Mobilize RRS's interactive trauma and first aid systems are designed to help untrained bystanders assess, manage, and help injured people during medical emergencies.

The Mobilize Rescue Systems product line has been implemented by federal and local law enforcement agencies, security and investigations agencies, K-12 schools and universities, public and private organisations, and has been used to manage multiple medical emergencies across the country.

Zoll Medical Corp., an Asahi Kasei Group company, develops and markets medical devices and software solutions that help advance emergency care and save lives, while increasing clinical and operational efficiencies.
