Zila Hires Brad Anderson as Vice President - Treasurer.

PHOENIX--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 25, 1996--Zila, Inc. (NASDAQ: ZILA), international marketer of oral healthcare products, announced that Brad Anderson has joined the Company as Vice President - Treasurer. Anderson, a Certified Public Accountant, has been employed for the last 11 years by Deloitte & Touche, Zila's auditing firm.

Zila President Joseph Hines said Anderson will report to Clarence Baudhuin, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, with responsibility for the Treasury function and financial planning. "Brad is a fine addition to the talented young executive staff that we are building to assure Zila's success, particularly in this period of rapid corporate growth," Hines said. "As we accelerate our new product and acquisition program, Brad will play an important role in the strategic planning and execution of Zila's growth objectives."

Zila is preparing for near-term introduction of its unique oral cancer detection system, OraTest, in the U.S., while it is dealing with OraTest licensees in Canada, the United Kingdom and Australia, and arranging for OraTest sales in other nations around the world.

At the same time, Zila is in the process of acquiring Bio-Dental Technologies Corporation -- a move that will increase the Company's annual revenue from $6.8 million (reported in FY 1996) to an estimated $40.0 million in FY 1997.

Anderson graduated from Brigham Young University with a B.S. in Accounting. He grew up in San Jose, California, and now lives in Mesa, Arizona, with his wife Ida and his four children, Devin, Katy, Tyson and Rachael.

Anderson is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Arizona State Society of CPAs. He serves on the Board and is Treasurer of Parents Anonymous, a non-profit organization that provides abused children with prevention services and services to strengthen the family. He is also active in the Boy Scouts of America.
