Zeon Chemicals plans to spend $50 million over the next five years on modifications to existing facilities in an effort to service anticipated growth in sales and volume in a number of manufactured products. Expenditures of $15-$20 million are earmarked for the recently completed R&D and technical service facility in Louisville, KY, and a new finishing line will be added to the manufacturing plant there. This line, plus other modifications, will increase plant capacity by nearly 50%, the company said.
