Business Editors/High-Tech Writers

Zeeo Interactive, Inc., a full-service technology and communications consultancy, has developed and launched a new web presence for Franklin W. Olin College of Engineering. Olin College is an innovative institution that is developing a new model for engineering education. The new site,, uses a cutting-edge design to reflect Olin's unique educational mission.

Olin is a state-of-the-art college that is reinventing the way students are taught and the way colleges function. The college analyzed practices from numerous institutions and blended them with original ideas to create a distinctive new curriculum and campus culture.

In creating the site, Zeeo's team of developers took an inventive approach to design, incorporating a contemporary design not generally associated with college and university Web sites. "The Olin College site is a departure from a majority of Web sites for higher education institutions," said Matt Greer, CEO of Zeeo Interactive. "We really wanted the site to reflect the overall personality of the students and the faculty and their unique approach to a technical education."

As part of the new Web site, Zeeo also integrated its proprietary Dynamic Content Management System (DCM) to allow easy updating of the site. "Olin College needed a way to allow non-technical personnel to keep the site constantly up to date." remarked Nicholas Lowe, Zeeo's Vice President of Client Relations. "The DCM gives different people throughout the college the ability to control selected site content, allowing them to have a stake in Olin's online presence."

The Zeeo team spoke with both students and faculty to create a site that was both innovative and informative. "This site was developed with extensive input from the Olin community," said Duncan Murdoch, Vice President for External Relations and Enrollment. "We believe it will enable us to keep our web audience better informed about the exciting developments here at the college."
