1 September 2016 - 11:18 Zarif to go to NY to take part in UN General Assembly It's not yet determined whether president also attend the event or not He said that Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif is to attend the 71st General Assembly and hold consultations and negotiations with a number of counterparts in New York.

The Foreign Minister had a tour to six Latin American countries accompanying 120-member business executives last week, Ravanchi said.

Takht-e Ravanchi said that considering membership of some of the Latin American states in Non-Align Movement, the foreign minister will proceed with negotiations with them to expand relations.

He said that the Latin American states are interested in enhanced ties with the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Takht-e Ravanchi said that Iran attaches a great importance to expansion of relations with Latin American states, adding that the Islamic Republic of Iran intends to restore and boost ties with all countries of the region.
