 ZURN RECEIVES CONTRACTS TOTALING $80 MILLION
 TO BUILD TWO COMBINED-CYCLE COGENERATION PLANTS
 ERIE, Pa., Jan. 10 /PRNewswire/ -- Zurn Industries, Inc. (NYSE: ZRN), a leading designer and manufacturer of Power Systems and Equipment, and Water Control Products for environmental applications, has received power plant construction orders valued at approximately $80 million from Falcon Seaboard Power Company and Indeck Energy Services, Inc.
 For Falcon Seaboard, Zurn is designing and building an 80 megawatt combined-cycle cogeneration plant and a 1,500 ton chilling plant in Northeast, Pa. The project is owned by Northern Consolidated Power, Inc. Electricity from the new plant will be sold to Niagara Mohawk Power Co. (NYSE: NMK) and steam will be sold to Welch's Foods. The chiller plant will supply Welch's adjacent refrigeration facility. Project construction is under way and completion is expected in December 1992.
 The company has also received a contract to design and build a 56 megawatt combined-cycle cogeneration plant in Ilion, N.Y., for Indeck Energy Services of Buffalo. Zurn is providing a dual-pressure heat recovery steam generator (HRSG) for the project. The new plant will sell electricity to Niagara Mohawk Power Co. and will provide steam for a Dupont Remington Arms plant. Construction has already begun on the project, Zurn's fourth for Indeck. Completion is expected in December 1992.
