 ZURN INDUSTRIES NAMES JOHN ROHRER VICE PRESIDENT
 OF EASTERN REGION CONSTRUCTION OPERATIONS
 ERIE, Pa., April 16 /PRNewswire/ -- Zurn Industries, Inc. (NYSE: ZRN), a leading designer and manufacturer of power systems and equipment, and water control products for environmental applications, announced today the appointment of John W. Rohrer as vice president and manager of operations at the eastern region headquarters of Zurn Industries' National Energy Production Company (NEPCO) in Portland, Maine, effective May 1, 1992.
 In his new position, Rohrer will be responsible for directing the design and construction of power generation facilities for customers served by NEPCO's eastern region. NEPCO engineers and constructs power generation facilities in the 20 to 200 megawatt size range and offers plant operating and maintenance services for projects it builds.
 Rohrer comes to Zurn from Wheelabrator Technologies, Inc., where he most recently served as vice president - project development. At Wheelabrator, he has been actively involved in the development and design of gas turbine combined-cycle, wood-fired, and trash-to-energy facilities. He has also been involved with coal gasification and liquification technologies. Rohrer graduated from Villanova University in 1966 with a bachelor of science degree in mechanical engineering and received his MBA from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, in 1968. He will be located in Portland.
