ZIMMER NAMED CREATIVE DIRECTOR OF REIMEL CARTER ADVERTISING
PHILADELPHIA, Nov. 12 /PRNewswire/ -- Fred Zimmer Jr. has been named vice president, creative director of Reimel Carter Advertising, a full- service advertising and marketing communications agency.
The announcement was made by Ted Reimel, president of the $26 million agency based in Philadelphia.
"The post has been vacant for some time, and Fred was the consensus of our creative staff," Reimel noted. "It wasn't so much that we promoted him, as the staff selected him."
Formerly vice president, associate creative director, Zimmer has been with Reimel Carter for 10 years, during which time he has been involved to some extent with almost every account in the agency.
As a copywriter, his wide variety of work for the agency has included everything from financial services (Meridian Bank), to industrial (Penco Products) and consumer products (M.A.B. Paints). For eight years, Zimmer was the man behind the "Mr. Dupli-Fax" radio campaign, and in 1990, he was honored by Variety Club for his creative work promoting that organization. He recently completed a new television campaign for Meridian.
After serving as a copy contact/account executive at Reimel Carter for a year and a half, he became a copywriter in 1983. He became audio/visual supervisor for the agency in 1985, and was promoted to vice president, associate creative director in 1986.
In addition to being a talented writer and producer, Zimmer is an accomplished musician, photographer and cartoonist. He is also the agency's resident computer expert.
Zimmer is a graduate of University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School and Radnor High School. He and his family currently reside in the western suburbs of Philadelphia.
Reimel Carter, known as the "image makers," is a full-service agency with more than 30 commercial, institutional and industrial clients.
