ZIMBERT NAMED PRESIDENT OF KENNEDY/MARSHALL CO.
HOLLYWOOD, Dec. 6 /PRNewswire/ -- Jonathan Zimbert has been named president of the Kennedy/Marshall Co. it was announced today by producers Kathleen Kennedy and Frank Marshall, who are based at and have a production deal with Paramount Pictures. Zimbert will oversee all phases of development and production for motion pictures made under the Kennedy/Marshall banner. "Jonathan is a perfect blend of all the things we were looking for -- an executive, but with a great production background, who has worked with both independent production companies and a studio," Kennedy and Marshall said. "With his wide range of experience, he fits our company like a glove." The Kennedy/Marshall company is currently in post production on the romantic comedy "Milk Money," which stars Melanie Griffith, Ed Harris and Michael Patrick Carter, with Richard Benjamin directing John Mattson's script. Prior to this appointment, Zimbert had been senior vice president of production at Morgan Creek, where he served as executive on the current release "True Romance," as well as "The Crush," "White Sands" and the upcoming projects "Major League II," "Ace Ventura: Pet Detective" and "Chasers." Before that, Zimbert was partnered with Peter Hyams. Under that collaboration he produced "Narrow Margin," "The Monster Squad," and executive produced "The Presidio." Earlier, Zimbert was associate producer for both "2010" and "Running Scared." Before that, he worked with Frank Yablans on such films as "The Star Chamber," "Monsignor" and "Mommie Dearest."
