ZEOS INTERNATIONAL AND SAM'S CLUB IN DISTRIBUTION AGREEMENT

ZEOS INTERNATIONAL AND SAM'S CLUB IN DISTRIBUTION AGREEMENT
ST. PAUL, Minn., May 12 /PRNewswire/ -- In a move to increase its presence within the growing small business and home office markets, Zeos International, Ltd. (NASDAQ: ZEOS) today announced an agreement to sell Zeos personal computers through Sam's Club, a division of Wal-Mart Stores, Inc. With more than 215 warehouses in 37 states, Sam's operates as a no-frills membership only warehouse which depends on high volume to compensate for very narrow profit margins, resulting in extremely low prices to its members.
Under the agreement, Sam's Club, beginning June 1, will distribute a new line of upgradable Zeos computers, called Zeos Performance(TM) Systems, developed specifically for small business and home office customers who purchase systems through mass merchandising channels. Sam's Club members will be able to purchase the system off the shelf and ready to use -- complete with pre-loaded software, accessories and Zeos's industry-standard customer satisfaction package.
Gregory E. Herrick, Zeos International chairman and chief executive officer, said, "This agreement represents the first major extension of Zeos' distribution strategy beyond the direct-marketing channel in which we have long been so successful. We believe our new relationship with the Wal-Mart organization offers exciting possibilities in terms of increased sales, and we look forward to a long and mutually beneficial association."
Shipments to Sam's Clubs are scheduled to begin in late May and do not have set terms. Sam's Club is not obligated under the agreement to purchase any Zeos systems. Sell prices for the Zeos Performance Systems will be determined by Sam's Club.
Zeos International, Ltd., headquartered in St. Paul, manufactures and markets, direct to end users, ISA and EISA (Industry Standard Architecture and Extended Industry Standard Architecture) personal computer systems and workstations based on the Intel 80286, 80386 and 80486 and Cyrix 486SLC microprocessor families worldwide under the Zeos name. The company also provides engineering services through its PC Tech electronic design group, provides contract manufacturing services under the name NPC Electronics and distributes passive electronic components through its Parts1 distribution division.
