ZEOS INTERNATIONAL ACQUIRES ENGINEERING DESIGN FIRM
ST. PAUL, Minn., Feb. 27 /PRNewswire/ -- ZEOS International, Ltd.,

(NASDAQ: ZEOS) in its first strategic acquisition, has acquired PC Tech, Inc., a privately held, Lake City, Minnesota-based engineering firm specializing in the design of high-performance computers and system components, the company announced today. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Gregory E. Herrick, ZEOS International chairman and chief executive officer, said: "ZEOS and PC Tech have worked together on the development of several ZEOS products, including our recently introduced line of ZEOS Upgradables and other systems to be introduced in 1992.
"Through that working relationship, we have gotten to know the people of PC Tech well and have been very impressed with their engineering design capabilities. With this talent now a part of the ZEOS family, we have enhanced our ability to rapidly develop high- quality, high-performance products with features not commonly found in the offerings of other vendors."
PC Tech, founded in 1984, has approximately 22 employees, most with engineering backgrounds. It will continue to operate as a wholly owned, but stand-alone, ZEOS subsidiary. In addition to its work on ZEOS systems, it will continue to provide contract engineering services to other companies.
ZEOS International, Ltd. manufactures and markets, direct to end users, ISA and EISA (Industry Standard and Extended Industry Standard Architecture) personal computer systems and workstations based on the Intel 80286, 80386 and 80486 microprocessor families worldwide under the ZEOS name. The company also provides contract manufacturing services under the name NPC Electronics and distributes passive electronic components through its Parts1 distribution division.
