Yuengling products sport new packages.

The Yuengling Brewery of Pottsville, PA, announced new labels and packaging for its Porter and Lager products. The beers' new look was created by D'Addario Design Associates, which was instrumental in the redesign of the brewer's flagship brands, Premium and Light, last fall.

"Our last quarter showed an increase in sales," reported Dick Yuengling, the brewery's president. "Since the redesigned Premium and Premium Light products the marketplace, we've been very busy, partially I'm sure, due the excellent redesign work by D'Addario."

"The challenge of the redesign was to create a family product line," explained Adam D'Addario, vice president, D'Addario. "We achieved this by developing a common |Yuengling' script logo and utilizing individual label color schemes. Additionally, we had to maintain the authenticity and heraldry of America's oldest brewery."

"D'Addario Design Associates was sensitive to our objectives regarding the redesign," said David Casinelli, Yuengling's director of sales and marketing. "While we wanted to attract new customers with the labeling, we didn't want to alienate our loyal customers."
