Youth Min.: New sports legislation to help in lifting int'l suspension.

KUWAIT, Dec 3 (KUNA) -- Kuwaiti Acting Minister of State for Youth Affairs Khaled Al-Roudhan said Sunday the just-passed sports law is an updated legislation that reflects Kuwait's sports independence, and will lead to lifting international sports suspension. Speaking to reporters following a special parliament session, during which the sports law was passed, Al-Roudhan, who doubles as Minister of Commerce and Industry, said: "Now we have a law that fulfills international conditions and criteria." He hoped that international sports organizations would understand the impacts of the international sports suspension, given that Kuwait is "very helpful" in this regard. He added that he would soon write to FIFA about the necessity of lifting sports suspension, wishing that the new step would usher in a fresh stage of Kuwaiti sports. (Pick up previous) fn.asa.mt
