I TOTALLY disagree with reader L.H. on the idea of scrapping free medical treatment. I maybe biased on this because I have a medical condition that means I'll require treament throught my life. Without it I can expect osteoporisis and signifiantly increased risk of heart problems, so it's hardly optional for me.

Through some online forums, I happen to know some Americans with the same condition aren't getting the treatment they need because their medical insurance has run out and they can't afford it. Can someone please explain to mehow that could be a fairer system
