Your view: Under threat.

Byline: J. Frame

APART from those who follow horse racing in the UK, who else has heard of Musselburgh race course?

People come from all over the globe to visit Musselburgh and it's not to attend the horse racing. Most visitors come to play or simply to visit the world's oldest golf course.

The race course stands on golf course land and is now under threat from East Lothian Council.

They have proposed that the golf course should be encircled by an all-weather race track which surely will corrupt the integrity of the golf course.

This project shames and demeans those who support it and must be stopped.
