Your view: Swear shame.

RE recent letters about today's youths. I recently visited a local theme park with my children and was appalled to hear two adults swear obscenely at some youths to get them to be quiet.

How are we supposed to teach our children to respect their elders if this is the way they are spoken to?

I don't doubt that there are some youths who can and do make people's lives miserable, but by the same token, there are some adults who are just as bad. Respect is a two-way street and, after all, children learn what they live Record reader
