READER K. Burns's letter complaining about Tam Cowan's joke about schizophrenia proves that all people need to get a sense of perspective and, more importantly, a sense of humour. Some people are too easily offended. The world would be a better and safer place if people would lighten up a bit.

Anon IF reader Stewart Crichton lived in a country that had been invaded by foreign soldiers and members of his family had been murdered by them, would he buy a poppy to celebrate this? Although most people respect the efforts of our troops, the Irish Troubles were not the UK's finest hour.

Aitch, Glasgow AS a Celtic-supporting family, we'd like to send our sincerest best wishes to Rangers legend Sandy Jardine in his battle with cancer. A great Ranger and a true gentleman. And a credit to football. You're in our thoughts and prayers, Sandy. Get well soon.
